Dr. Sajjad Khan, DDS, MICOI 

A Legacy of Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry

Since 1993, Dr. Sajjad Khan has been a cornerstone of the Connecticut dental community. A clinician who balances a "master’s touch" with a passion for modern technology, Dr. Khan’s career is defined by a lifelong pursuit of excellence. After ranking in the top ten of his graduating class at the University of Dhaka, he earned his DDS from the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a prestigious appointment as Chief Resident at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.

His clinical skill was so well-regarded that he was invited to stay as an Attending Physician, mentoring the next generation of dentists—a love for teaching that he still carries into his practice today.

As the founder of Advantage Dental Group and a former Dental Director for the Community Health Center of New London, Dr. Khan has spent decades shaping the local dental landscape. He is a Master of the International College of Oral Implantologists, having trained under world-renowned experts like Dr. Carl Misch. Today, he integrates this mastery with advanced LASER and CAD-CAM dentistry, offering a holistic approach that treats the patient, not just the tooth.

Dr. Ryeed Khan, DMD

East Lyme’s Own: Precision Dentistry with a Hometown Heart

Dr. Ryeed Khan is an East Lyme native. He is a double husky completing both his undergraduate studies and his dental degree from there. He did a one year general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital and medical center. There he focused on a variety of dental and medical cases as well as going to the operating room. He won an award for being resident of the year. Since graduating residency he has worked at Advantage dental group and as a part-time attending at saint francis hospital. He is in the process of becoming a Dawson scholar. He does all types of procedures but focuses extra time on digital dentistry, same day crowns, tmj treatments and cosmetics. He has won an award for being a “Rising Star” in the dental community. 


In his free time he likes to travel, cook and coach high school rowing at East Lyme Highschool.

Dr. Michael Giuliano

Dr. Michael Giuliano is a third-generation dentist originally from Westerly, Rhode Island. Growing up, he spent countless hours in the dental office with his father, taking note of the instruments, procedures and gaining a solid understanding and great respect for the profession. In his words, “I grew up speaking dentistry, it is in my genes.”

Dr. Giuliano is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and earned his undergraduate Baccalaureate Degree of Science in Biology from Providence College. Dr. Giuliano’s post-graduate training centers around cosmetic and restorative dentistry, root canals and same day crowns. Dr. Giuliano has also trained at the nationally reputed Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Spear Education.

Dr. Giuliano and his wife are happy to be raising their son and daughter on the southeastern Connecticut coastline and enjoying all that the state has to offer.

This dental office has to be the best dental office I have been to in the state of Connecticut. Dr. Khan and his staff are absolutely amazing. Dr. Khan is the first dentist that made me feel absolutely comfortable and explained everything step by step as he was going. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would! From the first time I called them to make an appointment to the end of my visit for my extraction. Dr Khan and his staff were all so nice and very caring. I am so serious, I have never had an experience like this and never mind at a dentist office. I’m 32 so I’ve been to the dentist plenty of times but this office was different. I have had dental phobia since I was a kid and because of it my teeth have suffered and are in bad shape. Last week i had the worst pain ever due to a rotted and broken to the gum line molar so I knew I had to get it removed. If you are looking for the best dentist in the East Lyme Waterford area (or beyond), I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Michael Giuliano. I have never come across an md or dentist that is as knowledgeable and technically skilled as he is empathetic, kind, and reassuring. I was sold on him as a dentist after a cleaning, but, as fate would have it, his skills were put to a test for me a few months later when I needed a somewhat urgent root canal. He took the time, on several occasions, to patiently “talk me down” over the procedure and did just an amazing job on the tooth itself. It was no bigger a deal than most fillings I’ve had. It’s just a great feeling to know that your dentist has “got this”, cares about you, and that you have nothing to worry about ! As a perk, the dental hygienists and office staff are also wonderful.

Exceptional & Professional dental office. This was the BEST Dental visit experience ever. I only give honest reviews & have never reviewed a Dental Office. I'm 61 and will admit, like many have a fear of going to dentist. I'm working in area for 12 days & needed a few things fixed with a broken tooth & broken fillings. Mon. I called 8 dental offices. Advantage was the only one that could get me in right away Tues. or even answered the phone. They even texted back there was opening to get me in earlier in day to possibly complete all procedures. I texted back & took it. From minute I walked in, it was an all around great experience. Front desk person greeted me - hello u must be Rick - nice welcome. Got back quickly and Dr. GIULIANO (Dr. G) came in to see me right away. I have dentist friends in FL that I thought were good, & they are, but Dr. G is a step above. He explained, in understandable terms, what the problems are and exactly how he was going to fix them. They checked my Ins. and showed the exact cost to me & what my Ins. covered, upfront before any work was done. Dr. G talked as he worked on me & even the shot of novocaine did not hurt at all. Usually, the pinch & pain is one of worst parts of going to dentist - I did not feel any pain or pinch - of course once novocaine took effect, I really didn't feel a thing. Dr. G has a friendly, professional, confident, & calming personality. I felt so comfortable. Dr. G is an amazing Dentist. I'm going back Thurs. for a full cleaning. Dr. G even drove me back to work since I had to walk over from where I'm working. Y'all r so lucky to have this Dental office w Dr. Giuliano here. I am a very satisfied new patient & highly recommended.

If you find yourself as deathly afraid of dentists as I do, look no further. From the moment I called to inquire about an appointment I knew I found my place. Every single person within this practice made me feel welcome and comfortable. I had a large molar removed by Dr. Kahn yesterday and I didn’t even feel the pinch of the needle. He goes out of his way to explain what’s going on in your mouth and the available options. He also keeps you informed during the entire procedure. They currently don’t accept my insurance but that will not keep me away. Dr. Kahn is worth every penny, even if it’s coming out of my pocket. As someone who’s had a ton of work done on my mouth and a few disturbing experiences that left me extremely fearful, I truly feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon this practice. Dr. Kahn is a genuine and kind man and an incredible dentist.
